Her veil, made of light.

The Virgin Mary Diamond Veil Ring does one thing that no flat medal can: it turns the veil itself into the diamonds. Her face is sculpted in satin gold at the centre of a domed oval face, and from the edge of her mantle outward the entire dome is set in pavé — so the veil falls away from her in stone rather than metal.

The contrast is deliberate and it is the whole design. The face stays matte, calm and unpolished, with downcast eyes and the features left soft; everything around it is brilliant. A fine engraved rose sits at her breast, the traditional Guadalupe detail, cut into the satin so it reads without competing.

Seen from the side the dome is substantial — a broad, rounded shoulder of unbroken pavé running down to the band. At 35g in 18K it wears as a devotional statement ring.
