The Cursive "L" Diamond Pendant renders a single initial in flowing copperplate script, and the diamonds do the drawing: a double row of pavé traces the entire contour of the letter, following every curve and curl of the stroke rather than filling it.
That is what separates this from a flooded initial. Inside the outline the gold is left polished and open, so the letterform reads as a line — the way script is actually written — with the brilliance running along its edges. The curled flourishes at the crown and the foot are outlined the same way, and the whole letter sits raised on a shaped backing plate cut to follow its silhouette.
Finished with a double-row diamond bail, it takes up to a 4mm chain and wears as a personal piece that still carries real stone weight at 2.45tcw.
