A dragon that fills its own frame with nothing left over.
The Diamond-Cut Dragon Portrait Pendant is built as a framed picture rather than a plaque. The border is a raised band cut with a repeating chevron pattern that runs the full perimeter and turns square at each corner, and the bail is worked in the same pattern — so the fitting reads as part of the frame instead of a loop hung off it.
Inside, the field drops into a recess cut with a fine diamond-cut line ground. The dragon takes the whole of it: horned head high on the right in three-quarter view, whiskers trailing, the scaled body looping down and back through the centre, clawed feet spread, and the tail carrying into the lower corner. Every scale is cut individually.
At the right sits the flaming pearl, ringed with cut flames — the thing the dragon is always reaching for and never holds.
The finish splits cleanly: satin on the dragon, bright on the cut ground and frame, so the animal reads dark against a surface that keeps moving. The reverse is plain polished.
At 51.4mm by 37.5mm and 42g in 18K it takes a chain up to 6.5mm.
