Our Lady of Remedies, crowned, on a field of cut light.
The Diamond-Cut Lady of Remedies Pendant sets the Virgin in full relief at the centre of an oval medallion. She stands crowned, the Christ Child crowned in her right arm and a flowered sceptre in her left, her mantle carved with scrolling vine and small blossoms from shoulder to hem. The modelling is deep enough that the faces, the folds of the mantle and the openwork of both crowns stay readable at pendant scale.
Behind her the ground is diamond-cut into fine rays running from the centre out to the frame, finished in contrasting metal so the satin figure reads bright against a moving field. The cutting is what gives the piece its flash — there are no stones anywhere on it.
Two borders close the oval: a fine beaded ring immediately around the scene, and a raised sunburst of pointed rays around the outer edge. A polished rectangular bail sits above, wide enough to take a substantial chain.
Why You’ll Love It:
-
Full-Relief Figure – Crowned Virgin and Child carved deep, satin-finished so the detail holds
-
Hand Diamond-Cut Field – Rays cut edge to edge in contrasting metal behind the figure
-
Double Border – Beaded inner ring inside a pointed sunburst rim
-
Carved Mantle – Scrolling vine and blossom worked across the drapery
-
Solid Gold Throughout – No stones and no plating; the finish does the work
The Diamond-Cut Lady of Remedies Pendant is made to be worn every day and read up close.
