The Large God of War (Guan Gong) Pendant shows him enthroned rather than fighting — one hand resting on his knee, the other drawn up to stroke his beard, robes pooling across his lap in deep folds. This is the version that stands in shrines and shop doorways: the god at rest, which reads as authority instead of threat.
The carving is the deepest in the group. Figures stand so far off the ground that the outline of the plate is broken wherever the relief overflows the rectangle — the edge follows the carving, not a ruled line.
Dragons are worked into the surround on both sides, heads surfacing at the upper and lower right with scaled coils running between them, and cloud and wave scrollwork closes the gaps. There is no flat ground anywhere on the face.
He wears the winged crown above the long beard, layered armour beneath the robe.
At 60mm by 40mm and 146.4g in 24K this is a genuine chest piece, and it takes a chain up to 7mm. Finished in satin throughout, which on relief this deep is what keeps the shadows readable. The bail is a plain round ring.
