The Saint Michael Archangel Portrait Artwork V2 Pendant is a large upright plaque — 75.8mm by 44.4mm, three inches tall before the bail, carrying 120g in 18K and taking a chain up to 11.5mm. It is built to be seen from across a room.
The frame is carved acanthus scrollwork running the full perimeter, deep enough to throw its own shadow, and the bail is worked in the same scroll rather than left plain — so the fitting belongs to the frame instead of interrupting it.
Inside, the entire ground is a ray burst: fine cut lines fanning from behind Michael’s head out to every edge of the plate. There is no blank field anywhere.
Michael stands at the centre with his wings thrown open across the full width, each flight feather cut separately, in Roman armour with the strapped skirt. He drives the spear downward with both hands, and the dragon writhes beneath his feet at the foot of the plate with its head turned up into the strike.
Everything is satin so the ray ground and the figure separate cleanly, and the reverse is plain polished.
Michael is the archangel of the militant tradition — invoked by police officers, soldiers and anyone whose work puts them between other people and harm.
