A compass rose, cut in gold and pointed in every direction at once.
The Compass Pendant is a round medallion built in three tiers. An eight-point star rises at the centre in high relief, its long north–south and east–west arms crossing the shorter intercardinal points, every facet left in a soft satin so the star reads as a solid raised form rather than an engraved line.
Around it sits a stepped bearing ring, carved with fine graduation marks the whole way round and lettered at the eight points — N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW — exactly as a compass card would be laid out. Four small squared tabs mark the cardinal points on the outer rim, and a twisted rope border closes the edge.
The whole face is worked in satin against the bright rope and bail, and the piece is small enough at an inch across to wear every day, alone or layered.
A compass is the oldest way of saying the same thing: know where you are going, and find your way back.
Why You’ll Love It:
-
Raised Eight-Point Star – Carved in high relief, not engraved into the face
-
Lettered Bearing Ring – All eight points marked, with fine graduations between them
-
Twisted Rope Border – Bright rope edge framing the satin face
-
Everyday Size – One inch across, light enough to wear daily
-
Solid Gold Throughout – No stones and no plating
The Compass Pendant is one of the most wearable pieces we make, and one of the few that reads clearly at arm’s length.
Made to order, turnaround time is typically 2-4 weeks.
