The Detailed Praying Hands Diamond Pendant is a free-cut sculpture — no plate behind it, the outline is the hands and their cuffs. Two palms pressed together, fingers extended and tilted slightly off vertical, in the pose everybody recognises.
The carving is where the work is. The backs of the hands carry raised tendon lines running to each knuckle, the veins stand proud across them, the nail beds are cut individually, and the thumbs cross at the base the way real hands do when they fold. All of it is finished in a soft satin, which is the only way this reads — polished, a form this smooth collapses into one highlight and the anatomy disappears.
The diamonds are on the cuffs and nowhere else. Both sleeves are fully pavé-set, with the rows following the fold lines of the fabric so the stone work bends the way cloth bends. The contrast against the bare satin hands is the whole design: the hands are the subject, the cuffs are the frame, and putting stones on the hands themselves would have buried the carving that makes the piece worth making.
At 1.8" including the bail and 32.2g in 18K, it has real presence without being oversized.
The bail is a wide multi-row pavé post with a 6mm opening.
