The Diamond Block "E" Pendant takes the opposite approach to a script initial: a bold slab-cut capital, squared at every terminal, with the entire face flooded in pavé diamonds. There is no open gold on the front of the letter — the stones run edge to edge across every arm and the full length of the stem.
What keeps it from reading as a shapeless block is the inset line. A fine channel is cut just inside the letter’s perimeter and follows its contour all the way around, so the outline stays sharp and the eye can still find the letterform inside the brilliance. The lower arm is cut at an angle rather than square, which gives the whole thing a forward lean.
At 3.2tcw across roughly 275 stones it is the heaviest-set letter in the collection, finished with a double-row diamond bail.
