The Double-Sided Musa of Mali and Ethiopian Lion of Judah Diamond Circular Pendant is built on the logic of a commemorative coin. The obverse carries a satin-finished bust of Mansa Musa I — crown set over a wrapped headdress, a heavy robe, a disc pendant at the chest — with MUSA I OF MALI raised in caps around the upper arc and the dates 1280 and 1337 flanking the portrait.
Two concentric borders separate the field from the edge: a chevron band cut in a continuous zigzag, then a fine beaded ring. Outside both, a single row of hand-set diamonds runs the full circumference, so the stones frame the die rather than sitting on it. That is what keeps a coin design reading as a coin.
The reverse carries the Ethiopian Lion of Judah — a walking crowned lion in relief, with an Amharic inscription arcing above and below — on the same satin ground and inside the same beaded ring and pavé border. Both faces are finished, and the double-row diamond bail lets it hang either way round.
The two faces span the continent: a West African emperor on the obverse, the Ethiopian imperial lion on the reverse.
At 1.25" across and 35g in 18K it has coin weight in the hand — dense and flat rather than tall.
