The Money Cat Mini Pendant is 19.7mm by 14.3mm — well under an inch — and still carries 10g in 18K. That ratio is the whole story: at this footprint, ten grams means the cat is worked solid and thick through the body, not cut from sheet to an outline.
It is a free-cut silhouette with no plate behind it, so the shape you see is the shape of the cat. He sits square on his haunches, facing straight out. The right paw is raised high beside the head with the pads and toes carved into it — the beckoning paw, the one that calls in money rather than customers — while the left rests down on the lap.
The face is the traditional one: eyes closed into contented arcs, a small triangular nose, whiskers cut across both cheeks, ears pricked and hollowed. A ribbed bib is worked across the chest and belly, and it is the only patterned surface on the piece.
The finish is what makes it: an all-over satin frost across the entire cat, with the bail left mirror-bright above it. On a piece this small a high polish would collapse the whole thing into one glare — the frost is what lets you actually read the face.
It is the fourth maneki-neko in the catalogue and the only one built to disappear under a shirt. The Money Cat, Happy Money Cat and Diamond-Cut Money Cat Rectangular are display pieces; this one is for wearing.
